Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists evaluate a child’s current skills and help children optimize play and daily activities including self care by addressing sensory regulation, social skills, behavior, fine motor skills, cognitive skills, visual motor, and visual perceptual skills. Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) focuses on helping children develop the skills needed for daily activities (or "occupations") such as playing, learning, and self-care. Pediatric occupational therapists work with children and their families to promote independence, enhance development, and improve quality of life.
